Another Winter Afternoon

Am I going overboard with the winter landscapes? But they're so much fun! Here's what's on the easel now. I think it's about finished.

Imagining a snowy winter

I'm all for a snowless winter, but I'd like to try out the snowshoes I got for Christmas in 2019! After that, not enough of the white stuff has fallen for me to try out this new method of propelling oneself through the woods and fields of Massachusetts.

As an alternative, I've envisioned a few snowy scenes and made an effort to turn these dreams into oil paintings. Small, but honest. This one is 8 x 10, oil on wood panel, ready to frame or not. It's affordable, and I'll pay the MA Sales Tax!

Happy New Year!

I haven't posted in a while, but now that the holidays are behind us I hope there'll be more time for reflection and painting. Here's an 8 x 10, done in the studio on my birthday two weeks ago.

Oil on wood. 8 x 10. Ready to frame.

Snow at last!

Finally, in late January, we are seeing snow. Finger painting on iPad.
